The distance between Hollywood and Africa is closing.
Are you an experienced film/TV writer looking to sharpen your craft and expand your network with Hollywood film and TV executives? Kenya Film Commission in partnership with Blackhouse Foundation, PMF Media Group and VentureLift Africa presents the 2021 International Writers’ Lab.
The International Writers’ Lab is the inaugural 10-week creative accelerator and fellowship program exclusively for experienced Kenyan writers.
Over the course of the program, Fellows will:
- Be immersed in their writing led by a critically acclaimed writer/director and techer at both the esteemed American Film Institute [AFI] and Sundance Collab.
- Learn from Hollywood-based working writers through a mentorship program.
- Have their finished work covered by major Hollywood agencies and management companies.
- Have the opportunity to pitch their projects to Hollywood studios and streamers.
The program will culminate in a sponsored trip to the Blackhouse event at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival in January 2022.
