KENYA FILM COMMISSION SUPPORTS KENYAN PREMIERE OF ‘ADISA’ FILM

Kenya Film Commission in its effort to build a screen going culture and build appetite for Kenyan content supported the Kenyan premiere of ‘Adisa’, an original film co-produced by Walking Ghost Film, German Embassy Nairobi and Film Crew In Africa (FCIA).

The event held on 29th July 2021, was graced by representatives from Kenya Film Commission and German Embassy in Nairobi, officials from Film Crew In africa and other invited guests.

‘Adisa’ film is a human-interest story by FCIA based on the true story account of events that took place in Cameroon where a child was killed in an accident involving the convoy of the then American Ambassador to the UN in 2016.

This film places us in the heart of events & allows us to empathize on the loss of a child. We get to see the value of life of one human life placed over another as is sometimes required by protocol and the human side we all share when one mother feels the pain of losing a child. ‘Adisa’ has been filmed in the breathtaking cities and countryside of Kenya which gives the best backdrop to this film.

“The film ‘Adisa’ is a true testament that with film our countries are borderless,” Dr. Ezekiel Onyango.

Film Crew In Africa is a production company that makes films that provoke thoughts and actions which lead to social change.

The film was directed by Simon Denda. The cast includes Victoria Mayer, Jackline Wanjiku, Gotz Otto and Robert Agengo.
