Kenya Film Commission and United States International University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to forge a strategic partnership between the Commission and the institution on promotion of excellence in training film production and animation.
“This is a great opportunity as this partnership will aid the Commission in certifying filmmakers in the country thus ensuring the industry has professionals who are qualified to engage in filmmaking activities and also undertake research, archiving, film production, audience development, marketing and capacity building programmes”,noted the CEO, Mr. Owase
The Vice Chancellor of USIU – AFRICA Professor Paul Zeleza expressed his confidence in the partnership and its potential to offer a myriad of opportunities for creatives in the industry.
UNITED STATES INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY AFRICA, also known as USIU Africa, is a private university in Kenya, the largest economy in the Community, the University is accredited by the Commission for Higher Education (CHE) in Kenya and by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
