KENYA FILM COMMISSION SEEKS PARTNERSHIP WITH KENYA FILM SCHOOL TO BUILD CAPACITY FOR KENYA’S AUDIOVISUAL INDUSTRY

Board of Directors from Kenya Film Commission on 30th July 2021 made a courtesy call to Kenya Film School in Nairobi.

This visit is part of the Commission’s strategic advocacy and outreach initiatives exploring areas of partnership to grow the film industry in Kenya. The Commission seeks to partner with Kenya Film School to build capacity of filmmakers in the country in a bid to bridge the skills gap in the film industry.

The Board Directors have toured the facility and have been appraised on the operations and programmes of the learning institution. Kenya Film School students have taken the opportunity to showcase to the KFC Board Directors on the equipment, facilities and the works they’ve done over the period of their studies.

The Commission has continuously supported and partnered with the Kenya Film School in various aspects such as sponsorships to students, supporting screening events and film productions. Kenya Film Commission remains steadfast in its support towards the Kenya Film School in empowering the youth in the film industry with skills.
