Kenya Film Commission Partners With Multichoice Talent Factory & Dolby In A Sound Masterclass

Kenya Film Commission in partnership with Multichoice Talent Factory and Dolby conducted a two-day masterclass in Sound and Sound Design in Production Planning in Nairobi on 6th and 7th February 2020.

The masterclass attracted an overwhelming 170 creatives eager to advance their skills in sound mixing, sound design and production planning. The masterclass was facilitated by sound consultant Mr Vikram Joglekar and Quinton Schmidt both from Dolby.

Speaking at the forum, Mr Quinton Schmidt noted that “Sound is a critical element of film production as it constitutes 50% of the whole production.”

While also sharing with participants in the masterclass Mr Vikram Joglekar expressed that “You can stand a bad picture, but not bad sound in film, that’s how important good sound is in production.”

Surround sound creates a more realistic and immersive listening experience to go along with enhanced picture quality thus guarantee a pleasant viewer experience and eliciting the correct emotion from the audience.
