Kenya Film Commission Launches A School Outreach Programme

On Thursday 13th February, 2020 the Commission launched a School Outreach Programme at Alliance Girls High School in partnership with Canon – a leading provider of imaging equipment.

The aim of this project is to create a connection between the Commission and the various secondary schools around the country through formation of film clubs.

At the end of this program each institution will receive film equipment to ensure that the learners put to practice what they have learnt.

Student programming forms an important strategic goal for the Commission as this will ensure the young creatives are empowered to harness the power of film at a young age.

Long term the school outreach program will enhance a supportive learning environment to foster creativity and self-discovery through the art of filmmaking.
