Kenya Film Commission And Eugene Mbugua Announce Concert Nyumbani, The Biggest Entertainment Event On Kenyan Television

The biggest entertainment television event to happen in Kenya is set to take place at 2 P.M. on Sunday 19th July 2020. It’ll be a musical show that will be broadcast on over ten Television stations simultaneously.

CONCERT NYUMBANI

Kenya Film Commission has partnered with Documentary & Reality TV that specializes in entertaining and producing informative television content and video production to organize a television concert dubbed Concert Nyumbani.

The show is aimed at educating Kenyans on COVID 19 Pandemic, entertaining masses, appreciating frontline workers and collaboration with artists. This one hour long concert show will help promote the film industry as an important way to showcase Kenya as a vibrant and informative society celebrating Kenyan COVID-19 frontline workers while showcasing talent.

“Concert Nyumbani is a television event that appreciates and honors Kenyans, who are sacrificing immensely for the good of others during the COVID 19 pandemic. Episode one of the show was made possible by the sponsorship of Kenya Film Commission who we are grateful to for the support”, notes Eugene Mbugua.

The show profiles heroes during this time of the pandemic by creating short documentaries of their work followed by poetry and musical performances by leading Kenyans artists and musicians dedicated to them. It will be hosted by internet sensation Azziad Nasenya & seasoned television personality Mwaniki Mageria. It’s directed by Eugene Mbugua, Enos Olik and Kayt Kioko of Kipenz Films. The first episode of the show will have performances by;

  • Sitawa Namwalie – Poet
  • Mumbi Macharia – Poet
  • Jaaziyah –Poet
  • Bensoul – Musician
  • H_art the band – Band

The first episode will air simultaneously on amongst others KTN, NTV, K24, KBC, Switch TV, Metropol TV, Y24, TV47 and PPP TV between 2 to 3 p.m. on 19th July 2020.
