Collins Okoth has Over 19 years public and private sector experience. Prio to joining the commission, he was the Deputy Director Research, Strategy, and Quality Assurance with Women Enterprise Fund. He has lectured in public and private Universities.
He is finalizing PhD in Business Administration majoring in Strategic Management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology having earned his MBA from the University of Nairobi, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Appropriate Technology from Kenyatta University.
He has extensive training in leadership both local and international. The trainings include Gender and Leadership (World Bank), TOT on Women entrepreneurship (ITC/ILO), TOT on SME Export Development (Export Promotion Council/JICA/USAID), Monitoring and Evaluation (AMREF) and Senior Project Manager certified (Qualifi Ltd, UK). Resource Mobilization Course (TUK), Productivity Measurement and Improvement for Public Service (KSG), Gender Statistics (UNECA), Performance Management Systems (KSG), Certified Advance Leadership Expert (GAFM), Project Monitoring & Evaluation (KSG), Certified Result-driven Leadership Programme (Inemmo, UK), Blue Ocean Leadership (Six Paths Consulting), Strategic Leadership Development Programme (KSG), Chartered Credit Analyst (AAFM) among others.
He is a member of the Institute of Leadership & Management, UK, Academy of Finance & Management, USA, and Fellow, American Academy of Financial Management (AAFM)TM, USA. He has undertaken extensive consulting on Strategic Plan development for Private and Public Institutions, different research projects and consultancy projects, Chair/member of several high-level taskforces and committees.
