Noah Ochieng’ Otiende is a creative industry professional, sound engineer and academic with over 15 years of experience across creative multimedia production, higher education, and creative arts management currently pursuing a PhD in Creative Multimedia at Multimedia University, Cyberjaya, Malaysia, with research focusing on sound, music, and culture.
He has held senior academic and administrative roles, including Head of Department, Film, Animation and Broadcasting, and has taught at Multi Media University Kenya, USIU – Africa, the Technical University of Kenya, and Kenya Institute of Mass Communication.
Noah has served as a member of the University Senate Board and Faculty Management Board at MMU, Kenya and on the Advisory Board of Nairobi Chapel South, contributing to academic governance, institutional leadership, and strategic oversight.
Alongside academia, he has extensive industry experience as a sound engineer, producer, and technical production manager, delivering over 100 high-profile events and productions locally and internationally. Film credits include Post Production Sound: Plan B, Get Some Money, and Married to Work. His work has earned awards including the Gold Award in Digital Creative and Cinematic Arts (iNVENTX 2024, Malaysia), and the High Achievers Research Scholarship (MMU, Malaysia).
He currently serves as the Director, Film Services, at The State Department for Youth Affairs and Creative Economy.
