On Wednesday 19th February 2020, the Commission led by the CEO hosted a consultative meeting with top management team from Kenya Broadcasting Corporation and industry stakeholders. This meeting came after a successful partnership that was forged between the Commission and KBC to implement the Studio Mashinani project. The focus of the meeting was to explore opportunities of establishing film distribution in the country through the infrastructure by the national broadcaster. Kenya Broadcasting Corporation has set up two unique channels – Y254 and Heritage TV that content creators can utilize as distribution channels.
