Arnold Wanjala Namusonge is an award-winning commercial leader and strategic marketing expert with over 15 years of multi-sector and multi-market experience. Spanning Telecommunications, Fintech, FMCG, Logistics and Renewable Energy, his career is defined by a proven track record of scaling brands across diverse economic landscapes. As the Marketing Lead at the Kenya Film Commission, Arnold spearheads the strategic positioning of Kenya as a premier global filming destination and oversees the promotion of the industry locally to drive growth within the creative economy.
He is responsible for the overall development and implementation of marketing plans, policies, and standards that elevate the visibility of the Kenyan film industry. He was a member of the “Golden Pioneer” team that laid the foundation for Kenya’s mobile money revolution, right from agent network recruitment and customer acquisition to full interoperability, entrenching Kenya’s favorite digital story. This background in large-scale consumer adoption and ecosystem building informs his current mission to entrench Kenya’s film industry into the global market through data-driven marketing and robust stakeholder engagement.
Arnold holds a PhD in Business Administration, an MBA in Strategic Management, and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) with First Class Honors, all from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). He also holds a certificate in Business Sustainability Management from the University of Cambridge (CISL). He is an Associate Member of the Marketing Society of Kenya (MSK), Full Member of the Kenya Institute of Management (FKIM), and a Member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM). A subject matter authority on market entry strategy for the global consultancy firm GLG, he also contributes to future talent and capacity building, bridging theory and practice, as a visiting lecturer in select public and private universities.
