The competition themed ‘My Kenya My Story’ is a mobile phone film competition which is an initiative of the Kenya Film Commission that seeks to inspire creativity among the film makers in the country and to widen the scope of film making. The call for entries ran from the 28th of March to 30th of April 2018 where artists submitted their projects for the competition.
Follow us on social media with the hash tag #BestmobileflickKE to get latest updates of the voting process and winners’ announcement. Voting for the shortlisted films begun on 29th of May and will run up to 14th June 2018. The voting process has been broken down such that judges will have a contribution of 70% while the general public will have 30% to the final vote. The award ceremony for the winners in the competition will be held 21st June 2018.
