FilmAid Film Festival has sent out a call for entries for its 12th Annual Edition. This festival, whose deadline is 15 June 2019, seeks to celebrate the determination of the refugees residing in the Kakuma and Daadab refugee camps in Kenya. It also seeks to change the conversation and assert the fact that, refugees need to be heard in matters that touch on their daily lives and future.
The festival has a goal of ensuring that refugees are empowered, inspired and informed. Over the years the festival has trained and empowered refugees to tell their own story through film, photography, journalism, radio and digital media education enabling them to express themselves creatively.
